Getting To Pune
Pune is well connected to all major citites in India. However it's important to book early if you wish to get a good air deal. As for trains, it's important to book early if you wish to get any reservation at all. If you are traveling to Pune from out of India, it's best to take a flight to Mumbai (Bombay) and then get to Pune by road. Pune has few international flights, so getting a convenient flight and a good fare is rather difficult. Mumbai to Pune should take you between 3 to 4 hours by road.
Check the website http://www.indianrailways.gov.in/. You will get a direct train connection to Pune from most cities in India. For bookings, visit http://www.irctc.co.in. The conference venue is approx 2 kms from the Pune railway station - it will take you about 10 minutes by car to get to the conference from the Pune station depending on traffic conditions. We recommend that you ask your hotel to arrange for your railway station pickup.

The Koregaon Park area is closest to the venue and it is most famous for being home to the Osho Ashram. Visitors to the area can also take a walk in the Osho garden ( Please check timings and other restrictions before visiting). You will also find a lot of small boutiques, restaurants and small cafes there. This area is also home to some of the plush residential societies and is green and beautiful.
You can also take a stroll along the walking plaza at M.G Road (or Camp as it is referred to) on a Sunday which has a long line of charming boutiques, clothes stores, trinket shops and roadside cafes.
Fergusson Road and Jungli Maharaj Road are young and happening places with many colleges, restaurants and shopping malls.
Note - Watch out for the traffic in Pune which can be quite chaotic.
